Flora of borderlines and waysides of fields in selected parts of Nida Basin in Poland.

In Poland fields are traditionally separated from each other by the unploughed belts of ground, where often many different plant species occur. The study areas were located in 3 subregions of Nida Basin macroregion, about 40 - 80 km north from Krakow. The research was carried out along the borderlines dividing the fields and waysides, on limestone soils. Within them there were listed vascular plant species that accompany farmlands. Since the selected areas for research were in the vicinity of xerothermic vegetation, some of them penetrated to those borderlines and waysides. The research was done in July 2012 and as a result were made 45 phytosociological records (15 in each subregion). Every record covered the ground of about 20 m long and 15 - 50 cm wide. There was assessed the total number of species in each complex, species were assigned to historical - geographical groups. Moreover, there were used some ecological indicator values of vascular plants in Poland, like type of growth (f), number of stations (A), degree of threat (C) and continentality value (K). As a result, there have been noted in the studied area 158 species of vascular plants, from which the biggest number belonged to the archaeophytes (58), the most frequent type of growth was presented by hemicryptophytes (94), 3 species had a degree of threat, other 3 were protected. Most of the species had no continentality preference and 14, 5 % constituted to the group of small number of stations or large number, but in one region.
