Conference Wide Mcpherson, Amy [1], Hund, Richard [2], Parada, Beth [1]. Demystifying the Publication Process: An Author Workshop. This workshop, designed for graduate students, early-career scientists, or those new to publishing, is intended to discuss issues for authors and editors in today’s scientific publishing environment. The presenters will introduce items of interest to editors and welcome attendees to bring their own questions, experiences, and tools to share with the group. Possible topics for discussion include Improving Chances for Manuscript Acceptance; Open Access; Peer Review; Ethical Standards for Authors, Reviewers, and Editors; Access to Large Data Sets; Plagiarism; Impact Factors/Altmetrics; and Social Media.
