What is it like to apply to and work at a primarily undergraduate institution? A discussion session for grad students and postdocs.

This discussion session, which will be led by several current faculty at primarily undergraduate institutions (PUIs), is geared for graduate students and postdocs who may apply to faculty positions at PUIs, including liberal arts colleges and M.S.-granting institutions. The panel will explore a number of topics, including (but not limited to) applying and interviewing at PUIs, expectations for tenure, how to balance teaching and research, and building a successful research program. The format of this session will leave plenty of time for questions from the audience. While grad students and postdocs are the target audience, we welcome all who may be interested in attending (including faculty).
